DR AJAY'S PRESCRIPTION FOR THE FUTURE OF NOVI

When residents believe that their elected officials are representing them instead of pandering to special interests, we can build a healthy dialogue for growth and change. If elected to be your next mayor, I’m committed to remaining open, transparent, respectful, and accessible in all of my business with our city.

I WILL:

 

✓ PROMOTE ETHICS
I will enact an Ethics Ordinance requiring Novi City Council members to disclose financial contributions they have received or conflicts of interest they have, prior to voting on any city matters.
 

✓ INCREASE ENGAGEMENT
The Novi Citizen Survey found that Novi residents’ community participation is far below the national average. I will work to create more opportunities for our residents to serve and support our city, our schools, and the nonprofits that operate in Novi.

✓ IMPROVE REPRESENTATION 

I’m committed to ensuring that appointments to Novi’s boards and commissions reflect our community members’ diversity and experience, not their political connections.

✓ EXPAND ACCESS
I will resume regular meetings between the Novi City Council and our boards and commissions to ensure that Novi’s elected officials are accessible to our volunteer public servants.
